As the author of this tutorial says, and i totally agree with him, there are times that out of the box solutions for modal windows are not working as they should. Especially when you have to combine scripts things can get really messy. Micro image gallery is a jQuery plugin that will transform a set of images on your website into a miniature gallery. There’s an option to  have previous / next buttons, a grid view and  the size of the gallery can be adjusted (102, 162, 202 px).

Sweet Justice jQuery plugin – Create beautiful justified text

Sweet Justice is a jQuery plugin that will take a piece of text and turn it into justified text. It will also insert a soft hyphen if needed. It works with both jQuery and YUI3. If you take a look at the code of this really small plugin (almost 5k) you will see that the author have some conditionals in place. It won’t touch text inside code, pre and abbr tags. There’s also a minimum characters check set on 6 characters. Great little thingy.

jQuery “Feature Carousel” plug-in

Originally created to display featured stories on the homepage, jQuery “Feature Carousel” is now available as a jQuery plugin. While it will display the main image at the front and 2 other images at the back,  it supports more than 3 images to be rotated in a really smooth way. A long set of options are available for further customization.

jQuery.popeye 2.0 – an inline lightbox alternative

jQuery popeye isn’t new. A new version (2.0) is available though. For those not familiar with the script, jQuery popeye is an inline lightbox alternative. Version 2.0 features the ability to place html in the photos’ captions and have a custom html structure. As the author states, a series of bugs were fixed too.
