My Christmas 2008 book shopping list
December 7th, 2008 - Books, Design - No Comments
I love books. Not all kinds of books though. Give me a literature related book and add one more enemy in your list. I just can’t read these books. And believe me, i’ve tried that, a lot. After a few lines of reading my mind is somewhere else. I can only read web-design-programming-typography related books. Period. And here’s my Christmas book shopping list:
1. Jan Tschichold: Master Typographer: His Life, Work and Legacy
2. Web Form Design: Filling in the Blanks
3.Universal Design for Web Applications: Web Applications That Reach Everyone
Adoption-centric Usability Engineering: Systematic Deployment, Assessment and Improvement of Usability Methods in Software Engineering
Forms that Work: Designing Web Forms for Usability
And i think that would be it. What’s your list? What’s you book list for Christmas?
phpmyadmin 3.1.0 is now available for download
December 7th, 2008 - Backend, MySQL Tools - No Comments

The most popular mysql admin tool, phpmyadmin, is now available in version 3.1.0 (a bug fix only version 3.1.1 is available as well). Their website (finally) got a face-lift as well. Not the best design out there but makes more sense now. The other thing i’d like to mention is the phpmyadmin themes. Maybe this is old news but i didn’t know about it and i was really bored with the default phpmyadmin theme.
